The first series of miniature handmade felt sculptures of Japanese Sweets - dango, ichigo daifuku, taiyaki, kashiwa mochi, konpeitou candy, red bean bun, custard pudding, dorayaki, and melon bun - transformed into seamless pattern design. Dorayaki is a type of Japanese confection, a red-bean pancake which consists of two small brown pancake-like patties made from castella wrapped around a filling of sweet azuki bean paste. Taiyaki, also known as 'Baked Sea Bream', is a Japanese fish-shaped brown pancake with Azuki red bean paste filling. Hanami Dango is a stick of skewered rice dumplings, consisting of three flavours: Tomogi grass or green tea, tofu, and pink cherry blossom. Kashiwa mochi is a pink cherry blossom rice cake wrapped in Kashiwa oak leaf. Anpan is a beige bun filled with Japanese red bean paste. Konpeitou candy is a piece of coloured confetti sugar candy. Melon bun is a light yellow melon-flavoured bun.
