We are adding a new role to our AMD offices; an independent and autonomous IT Recruiter with an open brief to attract 20 – 30 new .net developers and related product lifecycle roles amounting to 40 new hires in the next 12-24 months. Consequently, this role is full-time as a dedicated person to seek and acquire the services of a targeted type of web developer in a narrow range of technologies mainly .net, at Senior and Mid-Level but also including a pipeline of for fresh young talent, and also highest level Lead Architects.
This new role of internal IT Recruiter requires a proactive approach, confidence, and cool decision making. The right person must be able to chase down leads, get out to see people, conduct deep research, investigate and be a detective. Must be persuasive to sell the big Contrado future to the new developer talents, as well as converse about the IT dev infrastructure we operate.
The Recruiter must initiate mapping out the local market landscape and be able to spot opportunities before other recruiters do. It’s a highly competitive sector. We need to identify the other companies and stealthily follow and approach talent, quiz each candidate, listen for leads. Find out which start-ups are failing, hear about which teams are not innovating, and pitch in aggressively to pick up talent that is motivated to change to a more progressive company like Contrado. This is research work, listening and following leads, plus make a pipeline with Uni interns for live projects.
Will have to get out into the field, meeting talent in cafes or near workplaces to do the best research.
Would need to know and be able to discuss the core technologies, in name and basic detail, so can read a candidate’s CV and talk to them about our technology environment. Need to be IT confident.
This person must be able to map and track all .net developers in AMD. The IT recruiter needs to be good at excel, recording, tracking, also good at telephone calls, writing emails, and negotiating.
It will be important to develop current IT staff relations binding our team closer together.
High-level training is provided to ensure the entire approach above is achievable and deliverable.
