The role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Software Engineer to join an established engineering team building and evolving a real-world eCommerce and manufacturing platform. You will work alongside experienced engineers, UX designers, QA, and DevOps, contributing to systems that are actively used and continuously improved. The role offers exposure to modern tooling, cloud infrastructure, and meaningful technical challenges.

How we work

  • We work in two-week delivery cycles with regular releases
  • Automated deployments and multiple environments support safe, frequent deployment
  • Close collaboration between engineering, UX, and delivery teams
  • A pragmatic agile approach focused on outcomes rather than ceremony
  • Cloud-hosted infrastructure running on AWS

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain software components aligned with business and technical goals
  • Write clean, well-structured, and testable code
  • Unit test code and features for completeness, accuracy and impact
  • Collaborate with other engineers and designers to deliver robust product features
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to shared engineering standards
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across the stack
  • Improve existing systems through refactoring and performance optimisation
  • Work in fast-paced, challenging environment

Required skills and experience

  • 3 to 6 years of professional experience working with C#
  • Strong understanding of web application development concepts
  • Experience with MVC, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Solid knowledge of SQL Server/Relational or NoSQL databases
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working collaboratively in a team environment
  • Able to work independently under minimum supervision & guidance

Nice to have

  • Experience with client-side frameworks such as Angular
  • Exposure to AWS or cloud-based infrastructure
  • Familiarity with NoSQL, caching strategies, or performance optimisation
  • Experience working on large or long-lived systems
  • Previous eCommerce experience
